Hi.

Welcome to Bumblemom. As my name suggestions, I’m bumbling along as best I can as I navigate a new culture, kids, and style.

Distance Learning Resources

Distance Learning Resources

In my past life, I used to do lot with distance learning. I started compiling this list of online resources for my kids (age 4 and 6) when coronavirus went crazy in the US. We’re still in school in New Zealand, but I think many people are preparing for schools to close down soon. Personally, I’ll use Khan Academy the most, but I’ll supplement with some of the fun extras, like doodling with Mo Willems. I’m also going to use Zoom (for multi person exchanges) and FaceTime (for person to person) to stay connected to teachers and friends. We may only use it to show off our latest Lego creations, but it is still a way to connect them to their friends.

What are your favorite online resources for kids - especially free ones? Send me a note so I can add to this list.

** ABCMouse is one that I’m not adding to this list because of their horrible, impossible-to-cancel reputation. **
