Hi.

Welcome to Bumblemom. As my name suggestions, I’m bumbling along as best I can as I navigate a new culture, kids, and style.

Nutella Christmas Tree

Nutella Christmas Tree

It's Christmas Time!  The hubby made a request for a supplementary Christmas Day breakfast, and I ran across Scrumdiddlyuptious' video for this amazing Nutella Christmas Tree.  It's easy to make ahead and pop in the oven the morning of.  And everyone devoured it.

Nutella Christmas Tree

  • 2 rolls of ready-made puff pastry dough at room temperature

  • 5 Tbsp Nutella

  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375.

  • Roll out the first sheet of pastry dough on a cookie sheet.

  • Spread the Nutella in a large triangle shape with the bottom on a narrow edge, stretching all the way to the point at the top middle.

  • Cover with the second piece of pastry dough.

  • Using a small, sharp knife, cut away all of the dough not part of your Nutella triangle. This is the outline for your Christmas Tree.

  • Cut a 1 inch strip off of the bottom, leaving a small stump in the middle as the tree trunk.

  • Following your center tree trunk, make horizontal strips on both sides of the trunk radiating out from bottom to top. This makes your branches.

  • Take each branch and twist it around at least twice. You may be able to get more twists from the larger, bottom branches.

  • Use some of the leftover dough to cut out a star and place on the top of your tree.

  • Gently wash the entire tree with the beaten egg.

  • Bake for 15 minutes and eat right away!
